It is possible to have 89/31:

And for the other level, here's the 2378/111 moves solution:

Thank you, ben. I seem to be lacking in a particular sense of strategy with Sokoban, even before my 5-year break (been playing since 2001). I could always solve most levels, but never able to get the numbers down, even on the simplest ones, LOL.

Since coming back to it I'm trying to focus more on lowering my old scores, and it's frustrating most times. I appreciate your help. Smile

Different people seem to enjoy Sokoban differently.
Personally, I don't enjoy doing optimization even when I know most of methods for doing so. It is a time consuming task that I don't enjoy doing. (not to mention that YASO can optimize most of the solutions without any human interaction. And yes, there are times it requires some new thinking from the player before better results can be achieved)

I also enjoy exploring different ways to solve the same level, but the goal is not for shorter solution, but looking for ways to forcing more moves, for making the level harder to solve.
